FENTANYL TESTING

At IWCT we offer Fentanyl testing as a urine lab based test. Call us for an appointment or pricing.

What is fentanyl?

Fentanyl is 50-100x’s more potent than Morphine.

Fentanyl is an opioid medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.

Fentanyl is used as part of anesthesia to help prevent pain after surgery or other medical procedure and commonly used for cancer patients.

Heroin, cocaine, oxycodone, and other drugs can be cut with fentanyl, in powder, liquid or pill form. It often comes in similar packaging.

You can’t see it, smell it or taste it, but if your drug of choice is cut with fentanyl, it can kill you.

By the end of March, the north had already record 10 overdose deaths, three of which have been connected to fentanyl. Last year, 14 of 28 overdose deaths were connected to fentanyl. In 2015, Prince George had 13 deaths, including seven connected to fentanyl and this year one of the two deaths have been connected to the potent drug.
